OPPO-A96-Kenya

OPPO has today announced their plan to launch the A96 in Kenya. The impressive mid-ranger is a successor to the OPPO A95 launched in January 2022.

The device features all the awesome key specs you might expect from OPPO’s A-series including a large 5000mAh battery and 33W fast charging.

Plus, it wouldn’t be an A-lister without OPPO’s unique Glow design that allows the phone to be scratch and fingerprint resistant, not to mention how elegant it looks.

Traditionally, the A-series has been quite the performer in the photos department. True to this mantra, the A96 sports a 50MP main camera and a 16MP selfie camera complemented by a ton of software such as AI Natural Retouching, 360-degree Fill Light, Neon Portrait, Flash Snapshot, and Selfie HDR.

A Li-Po 5000mAh battery keeps the lights on supported by OPPO’s SUPERVOOC fast charging, delivering up to 55% of battery power within 30 minutes.

Add that to the Super Power Saving Mode and Optimized Night Charging that adapts to your sleeping patterns through AI, and you’re good on the battery front.

The A96 will come powered by a Snapdragon chipset complemented by 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, both expandable via RAM expansion for better performance and a micro-SD card slot respectively.

OPPO has still not shared info. on when the A96 will be available, however, we expect the smartphone to come at a suggested retail price of Ksh. 40,999.
