OPPO has unveiled Mesh Talk, an innovative technology concept that doesn’t require a network connection to make calls and send text messages.
Mesh Talk was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress, Shanghai 2019.
The tech works by bouncing off signals through nearby devices and through this a smartphone is able to another compatible without a direct connection. Mesh Talk is able to bypass base stations and servers and thus offer an extra layer of privacy.
Mesh talk is able to work between devices that are up to 3km apart. OPPO hasn’t revealed detailed info about the tech but it is likely that future OPPO smartphones will be able to support Mesh talk.
OPPO also officially unveiled its under-screen-camera concept at the event. The feature has been one of the most popular topics in tech.
OPPO is confident that the feature positions the brand as leader in smartphone design innovation.
