Since Netflix became available locally in 2016, its been working hard to stay relevant especially with young people and teenagers. Now, the streaming giant has introduced a new Fast Laugh feature for short comedy videos.
Netflix, like Instagram stories, has decided to emulate TikTok’s short videos to deliver a never-ending feed of comedy. The feature offers a full-screen feed of funny clips from series like Big Mouth and stand-up from comedians like Kevin Hart and Ali Wong.
Similar to TikTok, you can share the clips on WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, and Twitter for your friends to watch them too.
It’s obvious Netflix thought of this move to boost their comedy show views. Because, if you like the teaser, you can watch the full-length video or add them to your watch list to catch them later.
The feature is also useful if you prefer your comedy in bite-sized form and reduced data usage. The feature is only available to iPhone users in some countries but testing has begun for Android.
