We’re slowly but surely coming to the end of 2021, meaning rumors are now focused on new smartphones coming in early 2022. As usual, Samsung is in the headlines with its Galaxy S-series expected around late January/early February.

Now, we’ve all heard the rumors, seen the renders, but we’ve never actually seen the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Surprise, surprise; enter Front Page Tech who managed to get their hands on real-world photos of the upcoming device.

The first noticeable feature is the design which coincides with the more recent leaked renders. The S22 Ultra features a punch-hole curved display with curved corners and a black matte coating around back.

The other distinguishing feature is the S-Pen. Now, to accommodate the S-Pen, Samsung reportedly needed to make the device thicker, hence the elimination of the P-shaped camera hump, as is with the S21 Ultra.

Speaking of the camera, you might have to forego significant upgrades. The S22 Ultra will supposedly still involve a 108MP main sensor joined by a 12MP ultra-wide shooter, a 10MP 3X telephoto cam, and a 10MP 10X telephoto.

If the leak does come accurate, it certainly helps explain why Samsung decided to skip on the Note update in 2021, and it does beg the question, could this be the beginning of the end of the Note Series?
