WhatsApp has finally rolled out new privacy control features that allow users to hide their profile photos, last seen and about from specific people in their contacts. The features were only limited to beta users, but will now be available to iPhone and Android devices globally.
Initially, users had three privacy options to choose from for their profile photo, last seen, and about. These included – Everyone, My Contacts, and Nobody. Now, there is a fourth added option called ‘My Contacts except’, quite similar to the one available in Status privacy.
With this new option, you can choose who sees your profile photo, last seen, and about info. However, it is worth noting, that for last seen, if you don’t share yours with others, you won’t be able to see theirs either.

To access these new options, go to WhatsApp Settings, choose Account, tap the Privacy option and select your preferred setting. Also, remember to update to the latest version of WhatsApp on Play Store if you can’t see these new features.
Additionally, the social media platform has introduced some group calling features. They allow users to mute and message others during a group call. There’s also a banner that pops up when someone joins a group call offscreen.
