TECNO has quietly launched the latest addition to the Pova series, the Pova Neo 2. The device was unveiled in Russia with some pretty remarkable specs.
First off, the Pova Neo 2 is a major improvement from its predecessor, the Pova Neo, in almost all aspects, it’s bigger, faster and undoubtedly better looking.
It sports a 6.82-inch IPS LCD panel supporting up to 90Hz refresh rate. Plus, it’s a centered punch hole display, that houses an 8MP shooter while the back brings a 16MP main and a 2MP depth for general photography.
Under the hood, we have MediaTek’s go-to gaming chipset, the Helio G85 running alongside either 4 or 6 Gigs of RAM. Storage-wise, you get 64/128GB of memory.
On to the main highlight of the Pova Neo 2, it carries a massive 7,000mAh battery supporting 18W charging. The phone runs Android 12 out of the box but should be getting an OS upgrade in the coming months.
The Pova Neo 2 comes in an array of color options; Uranolite Gray, Virtual Blue, and Orange Magma. The smartphone currently retails at $204 (roughly Ksh. 24,600). Sales start on October 3 in Russia while global availability has not yet been detailed.
Although, since the Pova Neo is already locally available, the Neo 2 should be making its way to the Kenyan market.
