Samsung set to unveil the Galaxy S23 on February 1st; here’s what to expect from the series

Galaxy-S23-Unpacked-event

Samsung’s flagship series is about to get a revamp come February 1st with the addition of the new Galaxy S23. As usual, the series brings three devices, the Galaxy S23, S23+, and the S23 Ultra.

Being one of the most important smartphone events of the year, Samsung always puts its best foot forward in terms of devices released. This year is no different, starting off with the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The premium smartphone enjoys some big changes including a new chipset called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy. Samsung has opted to ship its new flagship exclusively with a Qualcomm chip.

The brand hasn’t said why it chose to take this step; however, it may be a way of rewriting past mistakes caused by the Exynos SoC.

Another feature worth highlighting is the main camera, it’s a new 200MP ISOCELL HP2 lens capable of better Night mode images and portrait videos. The camera will also be capable of Space Zoom 100X and Moon shot (kind of like the Zero X).

Other highlights including display and design are pretty much taken from its predecessor. The S23 and S23+ will also get access to the faster Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset, and a 200mAh boost to their battery capacities compared to their former siblings.

Check out the Galaxy Unpacked Livestream event on Samsung’s home page starting at 8 PM CAT.
