ColorOS 13 brings visual overhauls and pixelated screenshots

OPPO-ColorOS-13

OPPO confirmed last week that the ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 would be arriving soon and now the company has fully revealed the latest Android update.

The update comes with lots of new features, the most prominent of them being what OPPO calls Aquamorphic design.

A theme inspired by the changing color of light between sunrise and sunset at sea level. Basically, you can expect several blue and white hues and nature-themed always on display animations.

Speaking of the always-on display, there are different customizations now including Spotify’s controls for the media player.

So, what else are you getting with the new ColorOS 13?

Well, there’s a redesigned control panel that lets you access toggles and notifications faster. You can also edit the tiles on top if you wish to get additional space.

Additionally, OPPO has integrated large folder view that makes it possible for you to open an individual app without having to open the whole folder.

Plus, we have a few added utilities such as pixelation functionality for profile pics and screenshots. If you are wondering what this does, it blurs images for privacy, a new Meeting Assistant for notification reduction, quick toggles, and a dynamic computing engine for smoother performance.

ColorOS 13 has already arrived to the recently launched Find X5 and Find X5 Pro, with other smartphones set to premier the software over the coming months and in the 1st Half of 2023.

Here’s a summary of devices scheduled to receive ColorOS 13.
