Huawei is confident that it will be able to achieve its ambitious goal of shipping 270 million smartphones in 2019.
The Shenzhen-based tech giant has so far shipped 200 million smartphones in 2019 and therefore, has technically already achieved 75% of its target.
The company achieving its target will also place it at a better position of achieving its ultimate goal of becoming the largest smartphone vendor in the world.
Samsung currently hold the #1 position having shipped 290 million smartphone in 2018.
Huawei is betting big on its two flagship smartphones, the Mate 30 and Mate 30 Pro, to give it a significant boost towards achieving the target.
Huawei’s performance is also quite impressive considering that the trade ban is still in force and the company will ship its future smartphones without essential Google services.
