The Infinix Zero X Neo is a mid-range Android smartphone that recently became available in Kenya. Infinix launched the X Neo alongside the Zero X and the X Pro.

The X Neo is similar to the two but also slightly different when it comes to some of the features. Nonetheless, all three smartphones boast superb technical profiles with the highlights being on their excellent photography, incredible display and fast performance.

That said, let’s take a look at what the Zero X Neo has to offer.

Display

Display Size: 6.78-inches

Display Type: IPS LCD

Screen Resolution: 1080 x 2460 pixels

Screen Resolution Density: 396 ppi

It’s a shame Infinix didn’t equip the X Neo with the AMOLED display type like the other X series smartphones, but it compensates hugely (no pun intended) with its size.

The X Neo is the largest of the bunch featuring a 6.78-inch IPS LCD with 90Hz refresh rate and a 180Hz touch sampling rate. If you like large displays, the Zero X Neo is the one for you.

Design

Dimensions: 168.4 x 76.5 x 8.8 mm

Infinix does not disappoint in design especially when it comes to their Zero flagship. We saw this on the Zero 8 and the Zero X is not an exception.

It’s striking futuristic galaxy rear design is mesmerizing as it reflects an aurora of colours outside as well as when it is exposed to light. The Zero X Neo comes in three colour options; Nebula Black, Starry Silver and Bahamas Blue.

The photography profile is undeniably the major highlight of the X Neo. It comes with a triple camera setup featuring a 48MP main lens, an 8MP periscope lens and an 8MP ultrawide sensor that doubles as a macro shooter.

The fascinating part about the X Neo’s camera (and the other X series smartphones) is they can capture a Moon shot with 5x optical zoom and 60x digital zoom.

Supported by a special feature dubbed Galileo Engine, users are capable of capturing high resolution shots of the moon. You also get a 16MP shooter with dual-LED.

For images taken at night, you get a 48MP night mode camera that shoots excellent pictures with you in the spotlight, even in the dark.

A Li-Po 5000mAh battery that supports 18W charging keeps the lights on the Infinix Zero X Neo. It should last a day or two for the moderate user.
