itel, a leading smartphone vendor, has unveiled a social responsibility program that will see the company engage in several activities to give back to society.
The program that is dubbed ‘Love Always On’ will show love and responsibility to the underprivileged in society. The starting point of the program will be a visit to the Imani Children’s home in Kayole.
Imani Children’s Home, which also doubles as a rehabilitation center was started in 1992 and has the objective of providing care, and support to abandoned, orphaned, and neglected minors. The center currently takes care of 350 children who are from the ages of 1 day to 18 years of age.
itel’s Love Always On initiative will provide the children at the center with much-needed help and care and complement the community’s efforts of being responsible for those who need help.
itel will donate a range of essential commodities that includes foodstuff, sanitary towels, and in addition to this offer mentorship in collaboration with the Nivalishe pad initiative. The Nivalishe Pad initiative is a separate campaign that has the objective of educating young girls about menstrual hygiene.
There are also several fun activities in store for the children at the center. They will include a football match, face painting, and other interactive activities.
