LG’S rollable phone is out of this world, it could launch before the end of 2021

LG-Rollable-Smartphone

Foldable smartphones are getting popular by the day as brands such as Samsung, Huawei, and Motorola have already launched such devices.

A few days ago, during the company’s press conference, the CES 2021, LG unveiled their Rollable phone.

This bold move makes the Korean-based company the first to adopt this new design that will shape the smartphone industry’s future.

Interested in how it works? Well, the Rollable phone is designed in a way that the screen rolls and extends outward from the side to give the user a tablet-like feel. This same mechanism is used in LG’S Rollable OLED TV.

The concept is also adapted by Chinese OEM OPPO who showcased the OPPO X 2021. This experience gives the user access to both a small screen and a larger screen whenever need be.

LG Spokesman Ken Hong told Nikkei Asia that LG management wanted to address the rumors and show the public that the product is real.

He stated that since the product has already been showcased at the conference it will be launched this year.

This new phone could be what LG needs to get an edge over other brands and get recognized as a top tier smartphone maker. Let’s wait and see how the actual product is.
