In early June TECNO announced the Pop 6 series, the latest addition to its entry-level Pop segment and successor to the Pop 5. The lineup consisted of two models; the Pop 6 and Pop 6 Go. Both are available locally and while the Pop 6 comes with 4G connectivity, the Pop 6 Go caps off at 2G/3G.

Customers openly expressed their disgruntlement over the mildly slow network speed and feel it should have come equipped with 4G LTE. Now, the smartphone brand has announced a 4G version of the Pop 6 Go model.

There’s nothing different about it, it has the same specs as the Pop 6 Go, except of course the 4G connectivity. The TECNO Pop 6 Go 4G sports a 6-inch IPS LCD screen with 480 x 960 pixels resolution.

Under the hood, you get a 1.3Ghz Quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM and up to 32GB of internal storage. It also features a rear fingerprint sensor and runs Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box.

The Pop 6 Go 4G packs two cameras, one on the front and another on the back, each 5MP with an LED flash. Keeping the lights on the device is a Li-Po 4,000mAh battery.

The TECNO Pop 6 Go 4G could arrive the local market soon and it could cost around Ksh. 11,000 to Ksh. 12,000.
