The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 is a mid-range smartphone that was announced in early March and recently became available in Kenya.
Looking at its technical profile, am tempted to say it’s the “perfect” mid-ranger with some of its outstanding highlights being, the Super AMOLED display and large capacity 5000 mAh battery that comes with 33W Fast Charging.
That said, here is a sneak peek of what the Redmi Note 10 has to offer.

Display
Display Size: 6.43-inches
Display Type: Super AMOLED
Screen Resolution: 1080 x 2400 pixels
Screen Resolution Density: 409 ppi
The display profile on the Redmi Note 10 is arguably the most significant highlight of it, and here’s why. The mid-ranger packs a 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080p resolution.
AMOLED displays are costly, sophisticated and are offered by very few premium phones including the Samsung Galaxy A52. That’s because they have amazing contrast ratios (4,500,000:1) that make movies and pictures pop like they haven’t before.
The 409 ppi screen resolution density is also coupled with low blue light and reading mode leaves your eyes feeling comfortable at all times.
Battery
Battery Capacity: Li-Po 5000 mAh
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 offers a large capacity 5000 mAh battery with 33W fast charging. It’s pretty impressive and almost as decent as OPPO’s latest devices.
In fact, Xiaomi’s Mi turbocharge takes 25 minutes to charge to 50%. With the Redmi Note 10, waste less time charging while making the most out of your long-lasting phone time.
Performance
Operating System: Android 11
CPU: 2.2GHz Octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 678)
RAM: 6GB
Internal Memory: 128GB
Micro SD: Yes
A 2.2Ghz Octa-core processor powers the Redmi Note 10 alongside either 4GB/6GB RAM. In terms of storage, you get either 64GB/128GB of internal memory.
It also comes with the option of a Micro SD card slot to expand storage as you will. Even though they are claims Xiaomi plan to launch their chipsets this year, the equipped Qualcomm Snapdragon 678 chipset is fantastic.
It offers dynamic photography, an immersive gaming experience, and fast yet quality connectivity speeds.
The Redmi Note 10 also runs Android 11 out of the box coupled with Xiaomi’s latest user interface, MIUI 12. The downside is it’s not 5G enabled but overall, it’s a decent performance profile.

Camera
Rear Camera: 48+8+2+2MP
Secondary Camera: 13MP
LED Flash: Yes
The Redmi Note 10 packs an AI-enabled quad-camera setup that lets you explore and capture all your favorite memories in detail.
It includes a 48MP main camera to shoot clear photos, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor for wide shots, a 2MP macro camera for portrait pictures, and a 2MP depth sensor for zooming.
On the front, we have a 13MP camera for all your selfies and video calls. In my opinion, Xiaomi would have done a better job adding a higher resolution selfie camera like the one on the OPPO Reno 5F since both phones have almost similar rear camera specs.
But no biggie, as Xiaomi compensates that fact with awesome software features like the Night-mode that adjusts the camera to capture clear and bright photos even in glimmer settings.
Design
Dimensions: 160.5 x 74.5 x 8.3 mm
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 has a curved back design accompanied by flattened ends to offer a refined and classy appearance.
Plus, the sleek frame makes the phone slim, light, and easy to hold. And with a weight of less than 180g, the Note 10 is just as easy as it is effortless carrying it around.
Xiaomi also added an Arc-designed fingerprint sensor to the Note 10, which not only allows for fast unlocking but is comfortable to the hand at the same time.
The smartphone is available in three colors; Pebble White, Onyx Gray, and Lake Green.
