Automobile Android support has grown gradually over the years among new car models. People not only want smartphones and smart TVs but smart cars too that could act on their command at the sound of their voice.

Considering the innovations and tech coming up every day, from Tesla partnering with Samsung to develop next-gen self driving chipsets to BMW’s AI integration, smart cars are easily the ‘future’ of automobiles.

Italian carmaker Fiat has gotten a head start and has collaborated with Google to launch new 500-series cars integrated with Google Assistant. The smart cars, integrated with Fiat Mopar Connect service, give owners access to new features when they aren’t driving around.

For instance, you could ask Google Assistant for important info like how much fuel your car has left to plan your trip. And that’s not all, you can ask it to turn headlights on or off, activate hazard lights, control the in-car entertainment system, and my favorite-ask if the car is locked/unlocked.

The only thing owners have to do is start with the phrase ‘Hey Google, ask my Fiat’ followed by their command. These are some nifty features considering you can initiate all of them from the palm of your hand.

The lineup includes the Fiat 500, 500X, and 500L which will all be available in a unique look with Hey Google badging outside and on the seats. The cars will soon be available in various European countries.
