OPPO set to launch the Reno 5 Series in Kenya this February

OPPO has announced plans to launch its latest device under the Reno 5 Series that comes in two variants; the Reno 5 and Reno 5F. The smartphones will officially be unveiled on February 22, 2021.

The Reno 5 series is set to succeed the Reno 4 launched last year. OPPO says the Reno 5 will introduce an industry-first feature dubbed AI Mixed Portrait. The first double exposure video effect for smartphones.

Additionally, an AI Highlight Video-which uses intelligent light detection to combine OPPO’s advanced Ultra Night Video Algorithms to enhance video quality in dim and backlit scenes.

Muthoni Wachira, Head of Communications & Projects at OPPO Kenya said “Today’s smartphone is not just a tool to record our memories – it’s a partner that empowers our own unique way of storytelling and archives the unforgettable stories we share with our friends and family.”

One other notable feature is the 50W Ultra-Fast charging. OPPO says the smartphone can charge from 0% to 80% within 31 minutes and can be fully charged in just 48 minutes.

Reno 5 comes installed with OPPO’s Color OS 11.1, OPPO’s take on Android 11. The OS features rich UI customization, greater efficiency, unparalleled smoothness, and strengthened privacy.
